RARE AIR: BIRD CONSERVATION BOOK PROJECT + NATIONAL EXHIBITION
2020-2027
RARE AIR: Endangered Birds, Bats, Butterflies, and Bees is an illustrated book and dynamic educational exhibition sharing stories of North American bird conservation and citizen science. This title was published by Mountaineers Books in 2023 and was recognized as a finalist for Foreword’s INDIES 2023 Book of the Year in the Ecology and Environment category.
A nationally-touring companion exhibition was developed to expand on the book’s stories and research. This family-friendly exhibition features original gouache and ink artwork from the publication as well as playful interactive experiences to engage audiences of all ages with urgent issues in wildlife conservation.
